Corinth Baptist Church will be meeting for worship again beginning May 3rd, 2020.  Our decision was made, not because we have the constitutional right, and not because we question the motive of public officials, and not because we have a desire to make a public statement toward them or encourage rebellion against them.  Our decision to resume our public meetings for worship is based upon our conscience.  Having considered to the best of our ability the seriousness of the Covid-19 virus as it has been presented by politicians, medical professionals, social engineers, etc., we feel that we can no longer justify adherence to an injunction that prohibits our positive response to God’s command found in Hebrews 10:25, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25)”

The legality of such matters, as they pertain to mankind, is generally settled in Courts of Law, but we, as believers and followers of Jesus Christ, understand that these matters are more appropriately dealt with in the Courts of Heaven, by The Eternal Judge.  Because He is God and Lord of all of His creation, we desire to please Him and serve Him with a pure conscience.  Our faith necessitates our obedience.  May God bless His people everywhere.
